Mason Neck is a peninsula and census-designated place in Fairfax County, Virginia. As of the 2010 Census, its population was 2,005, giving it a population density of 144 people per square mile. Two-thirds of its 9000 acres are preserved as parkland by local, state, and federal authorities. Mason Neck is home to a variety of wildlife.
