There's a Ft. Belvoir just to the north of here - maybe it was added in a different map projection, but this is the real McCoy. (It's home to a bunch of agencies that I didn't have the time to copy.)

Acquired in 1910. Post established 23 December 1917 as Camp A.A. Humphreys. Designated in honor of Maj. Gen. Andrew A. Humphreys who served as a division and corps commander in the Army of the Potomac and subsequently as the Chief of Engineers, 1866–79. Redesignated Fort Humphreys on 7 September 1922. Redesignated Fort Belvoir on 14 February 1935.

Formerly home to the 13th Engineer Regiment from 1921 to 1936, the 17th Engineer Battalion from 1921 to 1923, the 29th Engineer Battalion (Topo) from 1923 to 1929, and the 5th Engineer Regiment from 1936 to 1941.
