This was the location of the base theater when I arrived in May of 1983. It was a large single-screened theater. There was an older theater on the other side of the base that was build back in the 1930's, but it was long out of use by the time I arrived on station. This one looked modern until you went into the projection booth, where the equipment was ancient. They were still using multiple projectors instead of a platter system, with the projectionist having to switch to the next for each reel.
