This (1600 East Plano Parkway) was a Mervyn's distribution center, until it shut down in 2005-2006 when it closed most of the stores in the state (the chain would fold a few years later). In 2010, an "investor group" that happened to share the same address of Garden Ridge Corporation of Houston bought the building (which was partially occupied by Packaging Corp. of America), with GR leasing space for distribution. By mid-2014, Garden Ridge Corporation moved in as the corporate headquarters and distribution center. Following a successful test run, Garden Ridge Corporation changed names in summer 2014 and began to convert their stores to the At Home format and name. Since then, At Home has expanded their facility.
