Historic Lake in Roger Mills County, named by settlers who discovered the remains of native tribes people "buried" in the trees along this lake and creek. In recent years, there has been a locally unpopular move to rename this lake, "Lake Blackkettle" after a famous Chief of the Cheyenne/Arapaho tribe.
