The summit of Lowder Mountain is 5567 feet asl, and is a broad, relatively flat plateau. Pleistocene glaciers carved cirques on the east and west sides of the mountain and left two small lakes, Karl and Ruth lake, on the east. The summit of Lowder Mountain is accessible by trial; the lakes are not.
