This neighborhood was the site of a fatal police shooting in which Officer Brian Rowden killed 31 year old David Brown near Dixon's Grocery. The events culminated in a widespread protest against police brutality and racial profiling, the response to which was a siege by SWAT and DPD.
The neighborhood is also referred to as Sunny Acres.
