Historic Italianate-style almshouse and hospital complex listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The main building dates to 1860, with an additional building on the property constructed in 1908. The hospital played an important role during the Civil War, when it treated a large number of Confederate soldiers. The site is now operated as Shockoe Hills Apartments.
