Site of Army Corps of Engineers large scale hydraulic model of the Mississippi River basin. Built by Italian and and German Prisoners of War during WWII, it covers 200 acres. The scale is 1:2000 horizontal and 1:100 vertical. The model operated from 1949 to 1973.
