garden, place with historical importance, abandoned / shut down, interesting place
Here lie the overgrown grounds and gardens of a once Grand 19th Century Brook Hill hotel. It had once catered for a number of important and royal guests as well as Napoleon. In the 20th Century it was given over to the Free French in WW2, after the war it became unfeasible and the hotel building has been converted into private accommodation. The Gardens aside from the main lawn and front porch remain overgrown and in ruin.
