Historic former home of R.J. Reynolds, founder of the R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company. The Greek Revival-style house dates to 1850. The property, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, now serves as an outreach center for Virginia Tech. The building to the west of the historic house is a continuing education center. The property is also referred to as Rock Spring Plantation.
