BT Tower (Birmingham)

Famous landmark, visible for tens of miles around. This means home to so many Brummies.
It is the only telecommunications tower which is located ontop of a canal and is accessible by barge.

The exterior was repainted in 2004 to remove the darkened appearance created by the accumulation of pollution from the 40 years it has existed. It is currently the tallest building in Birmingham city centre however the record is under threat with new proposals such as a vertical theme park next to Millenium Point and Arena Central near Alpha Tower.
