KLRF has announced that the board of directors of the company at its meeting held on 12 March 2014, has decided to shut down the operations of KLRF Textiles Unit-II, a textile unit of the company with effect from 13 March 2014.
It has also been proposed to dispose off the whole of the said undertaking after obtaining necessary approval of the members by way of passing a special resolution pursuant to Section 180(1)(a) of the Companies Act, 2013 through postal ballot as required under Section 192A of the Companies Act, 1956 read with Companies (Passing of the Resolution by Postal Ballot) Rules, 2011.

Therefore, after shut down it is possible that the Textile Mills may not be abandoned but could be taken over by another corporate or state by the state funding as for the sick textile mills under the Sick Textile Underrtakings (Taking Over of Management) Act 1972
