factory, abandoned / shut down
This abandoned cement plant is near the village of Lime, OR. The Acme Cement Plaster Company built this plant in 1916 to produce plaster. Additions to allow the production of Portland cement were built in 1921. After the depletion of the local limestone and the construction of a larger plant just west of here in Durkee, this plant closed in 1980.
