4-story office building completed in 1904. Designed by Arthur G. C. Fletcher as a studio for John H. Young, who designed sets for stage plays. It is clad in beige brick, with a double door at street level to allow the large frames of painted canvas to be moved out. A small, sideways-oriented stoop at the left leads up to the main entry, which is topped by a rounded brick arch. Between the two entrances is a small oval-shaped oriel window. The 2nd & 3rd floors have large studio windows on the right side, with a smaller rectangular window on the left side of the 3rd floor, and a terra-cotta plaque reading "JOHN H. YOUNG STUDIOS 1904" on the 2nd floor, above the doorway. The top floors has a similar window on the left side as the 3rd floor, and a large, round-arched studio window on the right, providing plenty of northern light to the interior spaces. All the windows have stone sills, and lintels, except the arched top-floor window, which is capped in brick.

John H. Young retired in 1919 and died in 1944. As the once-seedy neighborhood around No. 536 West 29th Street experienced a renaissance beginning in the 1990s, the studio building became home to Lopez Knudsen, Inc., a fashion company.
