Tell-Sifr (ancient Sapara or Kutalla)

The main mounds of Tell-Sifr have been identified as the location of an Ancient Mesopotamian city. The usual identification is with Kutalla, a dependency of Larsa, but the modern name of the mound suggests another ancient town, Sapara.
