Formerly the First National Bank of Canadian. The location was originally the site of Trader's Bank of Canadian, the first bank located in the Texas Panhandle. It was established by Henry Hamburg and Robert Moody on August 1, 1887.
The bank was converted into the First National Bank of Canadian in 1903. The present structure was built in 1920 and designed by architect was J. C. Berry. The building was designated a Recorded Texas Historic Landmark in 1970.
