interesting place, nuclear power plant, unfinished / unbuilt
This is the never-started nuclear powerplant site. It now has businesses that lease the buildings, artwork on the tanks and buildings, and beautiful landscaping. The two cooling towers are a landmark in the area. A local legend says that because the mountain is sacred native land, and a burial ground, that it will never host destructive technologies. There is also a gas-fired plant nearby that was never completed, and is being dismantled.
The two reactors on this site were planned to be called WNP-3 and WNP-5 (based off the company name Washington Public Power Supply System).
