townhouses, 1830s construction, Greek Revival (architecture), 1840s construction

A row of seven 3-story Greek-revival residential buildings completed between 1836 and 1841. They are all clad in red brick above brownstone basements. All have the original high stoops, except No. 338, which had its stoop replaced by a basement entrance, and just recently was re-converted to a parlor floor entrance with a new stoop and doorway. All of the houses have had new double doors installed, and the parlor floor windows shortened at No. 342. All the windows have stone sills and lintels with metal cornices. Four of the houses retain their original dentiled roof cornices; the others are replacements.
