art museum / art gallery, 1921_construction
1-story (with a 2-story section on the western end) mercantile building completed in 1921. Designed by Cross & Cross as a garage and stores, the facade is clad in tan brick with a stepped roof parapet of alternating heights. Several large garage bay doors span the building, with some of them more recently replaced with show windows. All of the openings have roll-down metal shutters. In 1996, it was renovated into gallery space.
In 2024 the west end was rebuilt into a 2-story gallery structure, designed by Annabelle Selldorf for David Zwirner.
