The Sreekrishna Temple now shines with its full voltage ,from where the name of the village Originated.
  • This village is a typical village of Kerala where pious people lived. The beauty of village with green paddy fields ( now replaced with plaintain gardens / coconut plantations), overflowing small streams ( thodukal) during edavapathi, and upto karkitakam months are evergreen memories of any person lived there. Various temples, Pariyanampatta, Uthrathil kaavu, Easwaramanagalam, Ikulangara, Nilavilikunnu, Perumangode Vishnu temple, Srekkrishnapuram Sreekrishan temple, Vadukanakurissi temple etc are spiritual sources. This village is blessed with lot of folk arts and culture which is entwined in to Valluvanadan culture. Sarpathullal, Paana ( Kalamezhuthum pattu), Aiyyappan vilakku, Tharayum poothavum, Pulluvan pattukal, Paanan paattukal ( Naayadi paatukal) Kathakali, Ottamthullal etc enriched the lives of the people here. I am talking about thirty years ago. I am away from this blessed land for more than 30 years. Hope and wish present generation there is also having such experiences.
