4-story Federal-style residential building originally compeleted in 1829 as a 3.5-story townhouse. The property changed hands numerous times over the years. From 1939 to 1948, the building was owned by Gustave Meyers, who constructed a one-story rear extension in 1940 and operated a luncheonette in the building. He sold the property to Albert Gazzola, who ran the Blue Star Luncheonette/Washington Food Shop here and owned it until 1971.
The building is constructed of red brick with molded metal lintels and is flanked by party wall chimneys. It is three bays wide and has a pitched roof that originally had two gable dormers but had a studio floor added to the top in 1940.
