The restaurant was featured on "Restaurant: Impossible" after failing to get a following from Bryan-College Station (or other bigger cities, as even Bryan is a ways to go just for a restaurant). The episode talked about how Cocoamoda does not advertise or connect to the town it's located in, and as a result is deep in debt and on the brink of failure (probably owing to its fairly desolate location).
