And father Sundaresan alias Sindhu or Rashappa. My father shifted to Mumbai in the 40s and now I live in Chennai. I wish to visit this temple soonest. Any more details you can provide on this temple will be of great help. If this is also your Kula Theivam are we Dhayadhis? Thanks, Anand Sundaresan
  • Hi Anand, Devi is our Kula Theivam too. The temple is open for few hours in the morning and evening. From Coimbatore, you can visit the temple and back in few hours. Get down at the Kootupatha stop and from there you can take a town bus or auto to the temple. If you take the bus, it is a 10 minute walk from the bus stop to the temple. If you are traveling from Chennai, I would suggest to stay in Palghat and visit the temple. That way you can visit few other places in Palghat too. Please do visit soon and share your experience.

  • Is there any proper shlokas to recite, as it is fathers parents Kula Theivam. It is highly appreciated if I get to recite, as it is important to tell on a daily basis.
  • To my knowledge, there is a Ganapathy temple that was worshiped by the Brahmin community reside around the temple close to the Bhagwathy temple. The local residents said the temple is in a dilapidated condition and help and funds needed to renovate when we visited many years ago for the first time our adimakavu Parukkancherry Bhagwathy and moved around the place. We found that She is our kuladeivam very late and that was our very first visit, sometime in 1998 or so. My late father in law's father had lived in Ennapadam in the early 1900's and moved to Kozhikode.
  • This is our kuladeivam and I reside in Mumbai. I want to donate money for every new thing to start and is there a way to pay online?
  • A. Temple dedicated to Sri Subramanya (Murugan) is at Kodumbu which is about 5km from Bhagavathy temple. The temple is on Palakkad - Chittoor Road, but our ancestors used to walk across the fields to the temple from Bhagavathy temple, which is a short cut. This temple is a big one and well maintained, with thrikala puja, uthsavam, kavadi etc.
