Mount David Douglas is a forested peak standing 6255 feet asl (1907 meters) in the Old Cascades of Oregon. Its summit is broad and mostly forested, with the highest point a rocky knoll about a hundred feet high. There are impressive cliffs on the south and west flanks of the mountain. Geologically it appears to be part of the Old Cascade volcanic series, and is composed of layers of basalt and some reddish or yellowish layers of volcanic cinders.
