The Tinsmiths Tower was built in the 14th century and was part of the third precinct. The tower was torn down in 1877, together with the wall section in front of the Theatre and an inn built in the late 18th c. that integrated the tower (see old watercolor).
The stone foundations discovered circa 2000, became part of a new passageway.
