A Grade II* listed building and was mntioned in Domesday Book (1086) . At the time of the Domesday Survey and up to the reign of Henry II it belonged to the Crown. In 1156 Henry granted the Lordship to Richard Camvill and the Sheriff of the County. The Manor House is a two storey stone slated, gabled and mullioned building with attics and cellars.
