Banbury's up-market Calthorpe estate/neighbourhood was built between the mid 1960's and mid 1970's. It contains a supermarket, shops, petrol station and several popular parks. It is to expand southwards between 2012 and 2013.

  • Contrary to popular belief Banbury's Cherwell Heights estate IS a separate entity and not part of the Calthorpe estate.
  • Cherwell Heights has no major shops or parks, unlike Calthorpe, but dose have a secondary school and will be expanded in the near future.
