The estate has it's origins in a small Medieval village near Banbury city centre. The up-market estate was first started in the early 1930's and expanded further in the to the south west in the late 1940's. New building projects finally ended with some additional houses in the early 1960's. The much loved Easington park was opened in about 1945 along with a couple of near by streets. The estate also has a popular pub.
