The Modern-style building was built in 1957, originally as the headquarters of Maytag Aircraft Corporation. It was designed by local architects Dietz Lusk and James Wallace.
Maytag Aircraft was founded in 1950 by Lewis B. "Bud" Maytag Jr., grandson of Maytag Appliances founder Frederick Maytag.
Listed on the National Register of Historic Places for its architectural significance.
