A traffic circle at the junction of K Street, Pennsylvania Avenue, New Hampshire Avenue, and 23rd Street Northwest. U.S. Route 29 (K Street Northwest) passes under the circle in a tunnel, while K Street's service roads join the circle. Traffic within the circle is regulated by a series of traffic signals.

The park within the circle is managed by the National Park Service as a unit of the National Mall and Memorial Parks and is named for the General George Washington equestrian statue erected in 1860 in the center.

Comments

  • I'm not use to traffic circles. Be careful and pay attention to the traffic lights.
  • I come from the UK, where they are everywhere! There seem to be quite a few in Washington.
