A large concrete fragment of the St. Francis Dam's western abutment. This piece, approximately 20 feet tall and 30 feet wide, still bears the distinctive "steps" of the dam's downstream face. These steps were about 5 feet tall, and the depth of the steps started at about 5 feet near the base of the dam and diminished to about 1 foot near the crest of the dam. The "steps" on this piece are about 3 feet deep, indicating that it came from about a third of the way up from the base of the dam.
