Joined 5-story buildings now housing the Chelsea Inn. The more ornate Queen Anne-style building at No. 46 was completed in 1889, and designed by Henry Martyn Congdon. The 2nd and 3rd floors feature a white-painted, projecting, 3-sided oriel (bay window) surmounted by a red brick arch over a segmental-arched window. The brick arch is supported by triple brick columns with stylized capitals. The columns flanked the bay window at the 3rd floor. The 2nd floor has horizontal white-painted, rough-stone banding on either side of the bay window. The top floor has a pair of round-arched windows, and the facade is topped by a corbelled brick roof parapet. The white stone ground floor is similar to the other building, with two round-arched openings, one of which is a recessed entrance with grey-painted stone steps leading up to it. The other is a window above a basement entry.

The Italianate brownstone building at No. 48 was completed in about 1861. Its round-arched entrance differs from the other building in that it has framing pilasters, with scrolled brackets and a cornice. Each floor has two bays of windows in stone surrounds. A metal fire escape runs down the facade, which is topped by a roof cornice with three console brackets.

The two structures were joined and opened as the Chelsea Inn boutique hotel in 1995. The basement is occupied by Nana's Treats baked goods.
