3-story mercantile building originally completed in the 1830s as a townhouse, built by carpenter Albert Horn, and purchased by William Fairman in 1836. By 1858 the ground floor had been converted to Thomas A. Hunter's fancy goods store which shared the space with Eliza A. Hunter's dress making shop. The Mitchell & Seixas bookstore was in the space by 1865, remaining into the 1870s, when it also branched into photography. In 1882 L. H. Goldsmith established what today would be called a gourmet shop here.

During the early 20th century it housed a glove store. In 1906 architect Robert W. Gardner replaced the show windows on the ground floor (now painted blue), inserted a tripartite picture window into the 2nd floor, and added a galvanized iron cornice. The three 3rd-floor windows are original. The ground-floor storefront was updated in 2013. The building is now occupied by Jacadi Paris boutique.
