The Launch Facility for an LGM-30G Minuteman III Intercontinental Ballistic Missile. Nicknamed "Twisted Sister" by its crews, the facility was constructed in the early 60's and initially housed an LGM-30B Minuteman I and was manned by the 742nd Strategic Missile Squadron, then assigned to the 455th Strategic Missile Wing stationed at Minot AFB outside of Minot, North Dakota. In 1968, the 455th SMW was inactivated and replaced by the 91st Strategic Missile Wing, whose Minuteman Is were replaced with Minuteman IIIs beginning in the early 70's. Today, Oscar Four remains at the ready still, manned by the men & women assigned to the 742nd.
