museum, military

Established by Warren E. Motts in 1987, the museum opened its 5100 square foot facility in 1999 after having been in the Motts family's 1870 residence for a number of years. The museum features many military vehicles, aircraft, a WWII Higgins Boat, and many other military-related items from the Revolutionary War up through Desert Storm. Artifacts from 9/11 from the World Trade Center in NYC and the Pentagon along with the nation's second largest collection of Holocaust memorabilia are currently in storage while funds, materials and labor is raised to construct new buildings to put these items on display.
