2 Cooper Square

15-story postmodern residential building completed in 2010. Designed by Gerner, Kronick + Valcarcel, Architects, PC for Rose Associates, it is clad in brown brick, with a 6-story base and a 9-story upper section, set back from the base on the east, west and south sides. The lower section spans seven bays on Cooper Square, and six bays on East 4th Street, with four joined windows in the outer bays, and two sections of paired windows in each middle bay. A vent with decorative grey metal grille is at the bottom of each windows group, with a brownstone lintel at the top. The upper section spans six bays on both Cooper Square and the exposed upper west elevation, and three bays on East 4th. Both sections have rounded corners and are capped by grey-green metal cornices.

The ground floor is occupied by Crunch Fitness.
