  • This was the first CO-Operative Housing Society of its type promoted and formulated by BMC Employees, around 1970-71. The 19 original promoters, residents of the adjacent Municipal Colony, subsequently inducted the balance 26 odd, mostly from the same Colony. Dec. 22nd is observed as the 'Foundation Day' of the Society. Several extended Swapna-Safalya'ites are residing in the suburbs of Mumbai. Besides, extended families from within this society have spread across the globe today, right from Australia to UAE to Europe to USA. Besides,

  • The society is on BMC land of 60 years lease of which 40 years have already been completed and 20 years remaininng for renewal. The flats sold in this building are not converted in the name of new owner by the BMC due to BMC rules. Building of 4 floors and does not have lift. Members in the society have rejected the lift proposal in an AGM.
