Hern Hermitage

Picturesque half-timbered building concealed among the trees. The first hermit settled down here in the 17th. century. He taught poor children and took care of sick people when an epidemic occured.

The Loreto Chapel built next to it is a copy of the original in Loreto, Italy. It is still the place of a pilgrimage.
