The company began operations as Domestic Linen Supply and Laundry Co., operating out of a converted horse stable in downtown Detroit in 1926. Domestic grew dramatically in tandem with Detroit’s industry, increasing its product offerings and customer base, and creating more jobs. During the latter half of the 20th century, Domestic expanded operations throughout the Midwest, and with strategic acquisitions took a strong foothold in the Northeast, Atlantic Coast and California. The largest family owned provider in the industry Domestic continues to operate under the third and fourth generations of the Colton/Weiss Families, who carry on the legacy of its founder, Isaac Liebson. Domestic offers service to customers in 14 states.
