The former Crystal Ballroom was constructed in 1919, with the dance hall located on the second floor and retail shops at street level. The Art Deco facade facing Woodward Avenue was added in 1936 when the building was moved to accommodate the widening of Woodward Avenue.
In 2007, the building was converted into 17 condominium loft units, 4 of which are located in a new third story addition. The ground floor features 10,000 sq. ft. of retail space and indoor parking.
