The name comes from the resemblance to the supine figure of the mythical Duryodhana lying after losing the final fight to Bheema, when viewed from the south-southwest side! The next time you are near Kalpudur or Mettukulam, riding along the Chittor highway, do not forget to watch out for this resemblance!
