Klondike Wind Farm is located on the plateau south of the Columbia River, roughly from about 3 miles (4 km) southeast to 11 miles (18 km) east of Wasco, Oregon. It was commissioned in several phases, from 2001 to 2008, and contains 242 wind turbines with a combined nominal capacity of 399.1 MW.

• Phase I (2001) consists of 16 Enron (subsequently General Electric) 1.5s turbines.
• Phase II (2005) consists of 50 GE 1.5MW turbines.
• Phase III (2007) consists of 80 GE 1.5sle turbines and 44 Siemens Mk II 2.3MW turbines. It also includes a single Mitsubishi MWT-92 (2.4MW) turbines from 2008.
• Phase IIIa (2008) consists of 51 GE 1.5sle turbines.

The Klondike wind farm was in the news in August 2007 when it became the site of the first death because of a tower collapse at a U.S. wind farm.
