The first written document about the community center in Alfatar dates from 1894. During all the years of its existence it has developed library activity, educational work among the masses, circle activity and rich amateur art activity; it has been awarded the Order of Saints Cyril and Methodius. The library has been a national front-ranker in its category, some of the amateur art groups have participated in a number of national and international festivals and have won significant prizes.
