SS Emperor (shipwreck)

One of the largest shipwrecks in Lake Superior. The Emperor ran aground and sank in 1947. 12 of her crew, including the captain and first mate were killed. The Coast Guard rescued the remaining 30.
A very popular dive site, also listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
