"The US submarine S-21 was built in 1921. She was 219 feet long had a 21 foot beam and displaced 854tons. On March 23, 1945 she was sunk as an experiment. Local research divers Joe Cushing of Strafford, NH and Bill Lussier of Eliot, Maine, have located the US Submarine S-21 (SS-126), sunk for testing purposes in WW II.
