5-story Greek-revival residential building completed in 1839 as a warehouse for grocers Hopkins & Hawley. At the ground floor, five massive granite piers carry a deep granite lintel with molded cornice. The red Flemish bond brickwork of the four upper floors appears to be a refacing of the original brick facade, which is divided into four bays of windows with stone sills and lintels. A replacement roof cornice of green metal with small modillions caps the facade. As part of the Historic Front Street 2005 re-development project, the building was restored and converted to apartments. The ground floor is occupied by Keg No. 229 restaurant.
