The statue dates from the early 18th century.
A sedentary Our Lady as statue is exceptional at the Antwerp Madonna's.
Mary holds her child sedentary on the edge of her seat.
Both are crowned and Mary carries a sceptre.
A shrouded in clouds globe with crescent moon and hose serves as a pedestal.
On a banner at the bottom is marked 'Monstra Te Esse Matrem'.
In 1976 the statue was protected as monument.
In 1980 it was restored, a new restoration was completed in 2002.
