5-story residential building completed in 1854, shortly after the Novelty Bakery fire destroyed the early 1810 building previously located on this site. It is clad in red brick, three bays wide, above a brown-painted cast-iron ground floor displaying ornamented paneled square columns supporting an architrave capped by an egg and dart molding. The windows are segmental-arched, topped by iron lintels with decorative moldings and shouldered end. The iron window sills are also finely molded and are supported on small corbels. The facade is crowned by an ornate sheet metal roof cornice supported on large foliate brackets. The panels between the brackets of the cornice are embellished with paired swags.
