St. George the Victorious Church (Apriltsi)

The cruciform cupola church is dedicated to the victims of the April Uprising in 1876. Bulgarian government donated 15,000 golden leva for the church. The construction began in 1896 by master builder Kancho Denev from Tryavna. Architect Nikola Drenski from Pleven did the plans. The temple is very impressive. It is 25 m long, 15 m wide and 15 m high.
